Martin's Round Up program starts January 1 and ends March 31

The GIANT Company (Martin's) is once again partnering with the CCPS School Nutrition Service Department to help support our students facing food insecurity.

In 2024, the initiative has been extended an extra month to allow schools to earn more needed funds. From January 1 through March 31, 2024 everyone who shops at the Culpeper MARTIN’S Food Store will be invited to “round up” at the register and donate the round-up amount of their bill to support Feeding School Kids. Customers can also give by converting their CHOICE Rewards Points to donations in the GIANT app or purchasing a reusable bag.

Starting January 1, we ask our school community to help spread the word of the Feeding School Kids initiative to ensure its success.  Our goal is to support the children in CCPS who need the most help accessing nutritious meals and snacks.

“Culpeper County Public Schools appreciates our community partnership with The GIANT Company and its programs that help us support our students and families in need,” said Laura Hoover, CCPS Director of Communication. “With the support of this program, CCPS has established a food closet to support families over weekends and other breaks from school when children may not otherwise have access to meals. We have also expanded our backpack program and cleared outstanding student lunch debt.”

CCPS looks forward to partnering with The GIANT Company to fight childhood hunger.  Please join us in supporting and advocating for this initiative to help ensure no child in our community experiences hunger at school or at home.
