Culpeper County Public Schools proudly celebrated members of the Class of 2025 during the annual Career and Technical Education (CTE) Signing Day, held on December 17 and 18, 2025. The event honored Class of 2025 graduates who are committing to continue their education, enlist in the military, or enter the workforce, a pathway CCPS proudly defines as Enrolled, Enlisted, or Employed.

Modeled after traditional athletic signing days, CTE Signing Day recognizes the dedication, preparation, and purpose of students who are launching directly into careers or military service. This year’s celebration was especially meaningful, marking the first graduating class of CCPS firefighting students and the division’s first-ever graduate to sign with Dominion Energy.

The event underscored an important message: success comes in many forms, and CCPS students are choosing their futures with confidence and intention. “CTE Signing Day highlights what happens when students are given meaningful pathways and real-world experiences,” said Randi Richards-Lutz, CCPS Director of Career and Technical Education. “Our students are graduating with confidence, credentials, and a clear direction for what comes next.”

In addition to honoring students, CCPS recognized its first-ever Work-Based Learning (WBL) Coordinator, Mrs. Ainsley Cockerille, for her leadership in strengthening partnerships with employers and expanding real-world learning opportunities for students. Her work has been instrumental in elevating initiatives such as CTE Signing Day. CCPS also extended its appreciation to the Culpeper Technical Education Center (CTEC) staff for their role in making the celebration a success.

During the ceremony, students signed Letters of Intent alongside parents, employers, military recruiters and school staff, symbolizing shared expectations, accountability, and partnerships built on growth and mutual respect.

CCPS thanks the employers, recruiters, families, teachers, and administrators who support students every step of the way. As Culpeper County works to graduate productive citizens, this event stands as clear proof that the future is bright, capable, and in excellent hands.

Congratulations to all of the December 2025 CTE Signing Day participants. We are looking forward to our spring CTE Signing Day for our Class of 2026 on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at CTEC.
