The Eastern View High School National Honor Society held their annual induction ceremony on October 14, 2026.

Forty-two new members were inducted based on their dedication to the four pillars of NHS: scholarship, service, character, and leadership. Senior National Honor Society officers Ranveer Ghuman (president), Rory Hurley (vice president), Emerson Hodgson (secretary), Leena Abed (treasurer), Jaxson Norrod (historian), Ciara Bond (parliamentarian), and Lincoln Stuart (liaison) led the ceremony and introduced the four pillars and the history of the Society at the induction ceremony, highlighting the hard work, dedication, and community service that the school’s chapter is committed to throughout the year.

The National Honor Society ranks as one of the oldest and most prestigious national organizations for high school students. There are chapters in more than 16,000 high schools and, since 1921, millions of students have been selected for membership. Millions of dollars in scholarships have been awarded to senior members since 1945 by the sponsoring organization, the National Association of Secondary School Principals.

New members inducted include:

Avery Allen, William Apperson, Samantha Bennett, Kendall Bopp, Adelina Cobbinah, Evelyn Deal, Rose Duff, Kem Eleonu, Nicole Ferlazzo, Addison Fick, Giselle Guevara Herrera, Morgan Hall, Charitee Haught, Sam Hawkins, Alisson Henriquez Ventura, Annabelle Hess, Carter Hodgson, Miles Hoover, Grace Jones, Landon LaVenuta, Rokhsar Mahmoodzada, Kylie Malone, Fernanda Mendez, Liam Morgan, Lanie Naccarato, Jackson Nichols, Autumn Oliver, Kendall Rowe, Hope Sherbeyn, Ella Souliyadeth, Noah Smith, Hunter Spain, Cole Stone, Noah Stuart, Jonathan Tinsley, Dereona Turner, McKayla Underwood, Sarah Wortman, and Josephina Young.

This year's induction also marked a special milestone for one Eastern View family. With the induction of sisters Leena Abed last year, and Muna Abed this year, all four Abed siblings have now earned membership in the National Honor Society.

Their older siblings, Hurieh and Jamil, were inducted several years ago, and at that time, NHS advisers often joked that the younger sisters were "future NHS scholars." Those predictions have now come true. Each pair of siblings was inducted one grade apart, creating a unique family tradition captured in photos from their respective ceremonies in 2020 and 2026. Looking back at those moments is especially meaningful, as Jamil is now attending law school and Hurieh is completing her degree in speech pathology, highlighting the lasting impact of their academic achievements and leadership.
